SUMMARY:Webinar - Residential Heat Pump Water Heaters: Technology\, Sales\, and Installation Challenges
DESCRIPTION:Residential Heat Pump Water Heaters: Technology\, Sales\, and Installation Challenges\n\nSeries Description\n\n\n\n\n\nPart 1 of 2 – March 25\, 2025 (9:30am – 11:30am) \nPart 2 of 2 – March 26\, 2025 (9:30am – 11:30am) \nThis series establishes the value of residential heat pump water heaters with scenarios that address key barriers to their adoption. It provides targeted sales training to identify customers and opportunities for presenting to stakeholders. Class content delves into key installation considerations including how to address space limitations\, managing noise and condensate\, system sizing\, as well as establishing operational modes and troubleshooting. \nInstructor Bio: \nLester Terrance\, HVAC/R \nLester Terrance has been active in the HVAC industry since 2003\, including 12 years in the United State Air Force\, seven of those years serving as HVAC Field Supervisor at the US Department of State. He is a licensed Master HVAC in the states of Maryland and Virginia\, an EPA Certified Universal Technician\, and an Authorized Overseas Certified Technician (Multi-stack). Lester is an HVAC Instructor and subject matter expert at D+R LEARN. Lester earned his AAS in Mechanical and Electrical Technology in 2013. \nAgenda: \n– Introduction and safety message \n– HPWH technology overview \n– HPWH space and location considerations \n– Managing condensate \n– HPWH sizing \n– Switching from gas to a HPWH \n– What is driving the market for HPWH’s \n– Planned replacement opportunities \n– HPWH marketing and consumer awareness \n– HPWH benefits \n– Overcoming objection \nThe objective of this course is that at the conclusion\, participants will be able to: \n– Explore the technology of heat pump water heaters \n– Examine the value proposition for heat pump water heaters as replacements in a variety of residential scenarios \n– Targeted sales training to assist in the process of identifying and qualifying customers \n– Understand the key challenges to installation of heat pump water heaters \nContinuing Education Credits: \nBOC: 4\, CABEC: 4 \nAudience Level: \nIntroductory \nElectrification: \nYes \nSector: \nResidential \nKeywords: \nBOC | CABEC | HVAC | Home Performance | Finance | ZNE / Electrification / Decarbonization | Energy / Sustainability Consultant | HVAC / Mechanical Contractor | General Contractor | Builder / Developer – Commercial | Plumbers / Pipe Fitters \n\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Webinar - Low-Load Efficiency Heat Pump Performance
DESCRIPTION:NEEA Product Council\nLow-Load Efficiency Heat Pump Performance\nDetails\nThis Product Council presents NEEA’s 2023-4 research investigating variable speed system performance at low-load conditions during mild weather conditions. Low-load efficiency is one of the no/low-cost market shifts we are pursuing at NEEA\, which we believe can generate a 5% gain of fleet-wide performance. The truth is that not all variable speed heat pumps perform well when at low-load conditions. Most of this is because the heat pump control algorithms are designed for specific conditions. The good news is these control algorithms can be modified to generate COPs greater than 4.5 during mild weather conditions\, which are the bulk of all operating hours. The bad news is that there are two issues that need to be addressed to ensure real world performance gains are achieved. The presentation will cover data\, analysis and methods for ensuring low-load efficiency of variable speed heat pumps. \nPresenters: Christopher Dymond (NEEA) and JJ Sawicki (TRC) \n\nTue\, Mar 25\n\n\n10:30 AM – 12:00 PM PDT\n\n\n\nOnline event\n\nREGISTER HERE
