What is true? What is hyperbole? What are some unintended consequences of “good” filters? \nTopics to be covered: \n\nHow much filtration do you really need? MERV 11?\nWhat is going on in “the industry?”\nASHRAE 62.2 – What is adopted by code? Is it enough?\nWhat are the barriers to good filtration?\nCode is the minimum. Is this good enough?\nWhat about wild fires and other pollutants?\n\nJoin our host David Bixby\, ACCA manager of codes\, and our panel of experts below. We’re going to discuss factors when choosing the right filter\, MERV ratings\, HEPA\, and strategies for filters with high resistance. \nEd Janowiak\, manager of HVACR design education\, ACCA \nNick Agopian\, President\, Reviveaire LLC \nGeorge Laurito\, District Sales Manager\, AprilAire \n\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Webinar - Homeowner Expectations: Must Knows for Trades Pros
DESCRIPTION:Homeowner Expectations: Must Knows for Trades Pros\nApril 9\, 2026\n2:00PM EDT – 30 Minutes\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTimely responses and overall convenience now play a major role in which HVAC or plumbing business a homeowner chooses to hire. When a heater breaks during a cold spell or a pipe leaks late at night\, they want immediate answers and a simple way to book service. If they cannot connect quickly\, no matter the hour\, they move on.\n\nTo better understand what is driving these decisions\, we surveyed 2\,000 homeowners about how they search\, evaluate\, and hire home services providers. In this webinar\, we will share key insights from that research and how to apply them to your business.\n\nYou will also hear directly from a contractor who will discuss how homeowner expectations have shifted in recent years and how their business has adapted. They will walk through how they use technology to respond faster\, make scheduling easier\, and manage growing demand without adding operational strain.\n\nJoin us to learn how to:\n·      Meet rising consumer expectations while keeping day-to-day operations efficient\n·      Increase booked jobs without increasing staff hours\n·      Simplify communication and scheduling across phone\, chat\, text\, and online booking so you never miss an opportunity\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now

Building systems are interdependent and it’s rare that addressing a single component will result in the most comfortable outcome. This session will highlight the importance of incorporating home performance concepts into heat pump projects or at least the home upgrade planning process. You’ll learn about unintended consequences of not doing so\, as well as the huge upsides when done correctly. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nElectrify Efficiently: The Why and How of Home Performance for Electrification – WEBINAR – April 14\, 2026 (9am – 10:30am) PDT\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Hosts\n1 Host \n\n\n\nNS\n\nNicolas Saroni – PGE Host\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional information\n\n\n\n\nInstructor Bio\n\nLarry Waters \nLarry Waters is the founder of Electrify My Home\, a first-of-its-kind electrification company specializing in residential electrification projects and workforce training. SUMMARY:Webinar - In the Zone: Zoning for Forced-Air
DESCRIPTION:In the Zone: Zoning for Forced-Air\nWednesday\, April 22 | 12:00 – 1:00 PM ET \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAn ACCA Codes & Coffee Webinar\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nZoning for Forced Air? It’s not new. It’s been done successfully for over 60 years with dampers. However\, the majority of HVAC Contractors stay away from zoning and won’t see it as solving comfort problems most homeowners live with every day. \nZoning also provides substantial energy savings over single thermostat systems. Independent studies show as much as 33% reduction in KWH with zoning\, yet less than 5% of all HVAC equipment shipments are zoned every year. Many contractors say the house is too small for zoning. \nOur panel of zoning experts will show you how to zone any home\, new or existing\, which will end up paying for itself with the energy savings.

SUMMARY:Webinar - Installing Heat Pump Water Heaters in Small Spaces: Lessons from the Amazing Shrinking Room
DESCRIPTION:Installing Heat Pump Water Heaters in Small Spaces: Lessons from the Amazing Shrinking Room\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse description\n\n\n\n\n\nBy enrolling in this course\, you agree to receive text message course reminders. To opt-out update your profile here or upon receiving your first message you will have the option to opt out by replying “STOP”. \nResidential heat pump water heaters (HPWH) are an effective way to reduce energy use\, operating costs\, and CO2 emissions. Research has shown that the ultimate operating efficiency depends as much on the installation conditions as the equipment selection itself. This course will share what we learned from a series of practical\, shrinking room experiments about why\, and how much\, the installation spaces impact efficiency and\, most importantly\, practices for successful installations. We will dive into space requirements and venting strategies for heat pump water heaters to enhance both new construction and retrofit installations. The results provide actionable guidance for manufacturers\, designers\, engineers\, installers\, and owners. In addition to sharing the results of the laboratory tests\, the presentation will also discuss the thermodynamic principles behind them. The session will provide participants with practical guidelines and design tools ready to implement as well as a framework for predicting how different design choices are likely to affect HPWH performance in a given installation space. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse sessions\n1 full online session\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInstalling Heat Pump Water Heaters in Small Spaces: Lessons from the Amazing Shrinking Room – WEBINAR – April 22\, 2026 (2pm – 4pm) PDT\n\n\n04/22/2026\, 02:00 pm – 04:00 pm\n\n(GMT -07:00) America/Los_Angeles\n\n\nStart date: April 22\, 2026 02:00 pm\, end date: April 22\, 2026 04:00 pm\nTime zone: (GMT -07:00) America/Los_Angeles\n1 event\nAttendance type: Full online\n1 Host\nVideo conference tool: Custom tool\nDuration 2 hours\n\n\n1 event\n Full online\n1 Host\n Custom tool\n 2h\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInstalling Heat Pump Water Heaters in Small Spaces: Lessons from the Amazing Shrinking Room – WEBINAR – April 22\, 2026 (2pm – 4pm) PDT\n\nEnroll\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Hosts\n1 Host \n\n\n\nNS\n\nNicolas Saroni – PGE Host\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional information\n\n\n\n\nInstructor Bio\n\nBen Larson \nBen\, founder of Larson Energy Research\, is a scientific researcher and consultant with over 15 years professional experience.
