SUMMARY:Webinar - Real World Energy Conservation by Controlling Resistive Heating Elements
DESCRIPTION:Real World Energy Conservation by Controlling Resistive Heating Elements\nDetails\nNew technology uses a recently patented method to thermostatically control resistive type heating elements\, such as found in many high wattage (previously un-controlled) applications including: vehicle/equipment block heaters (commercial & residential); livestock water tank heaters; pipe heating tape and many other applications. It is a small (about the size of a brick) universal plug-and-play device\, with no installation required\, and it can be mounted to a fixed surface if desired (or required). \nThe Power Badger® is an established and active public utility measure with a multi-year proven track record of kWh savings\, successfully implemented in residential\, commercial/industrial and agricultural markets\, with an average energy savings credit of 1540 kWh (per unit\, per year) by several utilities. Average ratepayer savings of 6-7million kWh claimed by utilities (each year) over the last two years\, just by implementing the Power Badger as an active measure. Multiple “White Papers” and independent studies are available to bolster the kWh savings claims of The Power Badger®. \nPopular applications for this measure include: \n\nResidential ratepayers use The Power Badger on their diesel pickup trucks\, generators and equipment at home. • Commercial / Industrial / Municipalities: Diesel Fleet Vehicles; Package delivery\, Garbage\, Heavy Equipment. • Agricultural: Tractors\, Farm Equipment\, Livestock Tank Heaters\, Pipe Tape/Wrap\, Pad Heaters • School Systems: Bus Fleets • Municipal / State / Federal / Government Agencies / Airports / Railways / Bus Fleets • Military: Reduces Energy Usage at Fixed Bases and when Using Generators in Remote Areas • General Aviation: Piston Engine Heaters / Pads / Battery Blankets\n\n  \nPresenter: Jeff Aiello\, Bostic Motors\, Inc. \n\nTue\, Aug 19\n\n\n10:30 AM – 12:00 PM PDT\n\n\n\nOnline event\n\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Webinar - Distributed Pumping for Commercial HVAC Systems
DESCRIPTION:Distributed Pumping for Commercial HVAC Systems\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails\nGrundfos Distributed Pumping is a hydronic system design that optimizes the entire HVAC system while improving occupant comfort. It replaces energy wasting balance and control valves in HVAC systems with intelligent\, reliable and maintenance-free pumps that generate pressure only when and where it’s needed. Removing the balancing and control valves and replacing them with small horsepower intelligent pumps has multiple HVAC system benefits: a) significantly reduces the time consuming and costly process of balancing the HVAC system; b) also ensures a continuously balanced HVAC system years later; c) reduction of pumping energy required by 55% or more; and d) better Delta T control. This also translates to improved building comfort. \n  \nSpeaker: Mike Madsen\, Grundfos CBS\, Inc. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails\n\n\nTue\, Jul 01\n\n\n10:30 AM – 12:00 PM PDT\n\n\n\nOnline event\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister

SUMMARY:Webinar - Empowering Meaningful Measurement & Verification with EcoDash: A standardized tool for HPWH M&V
DESCRIPTION:Empowering Meaningful Measurement & Verification with EcoDash: A standardized tool for HPWH M&V\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails\nAs new commercial Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) products enter the market\, monitoring their field performance is critical to ensure proper design\, installation\, and maintenance\, and that energy savings are actualized. EcoDash\, Ecotope’s online data viewing tool\, provides a standardized\, open-source platform for sharing measurement and verification (M&V) data aligned with the Advanced Water Heating Specification guidelines. EcoDash is both a research tool and a means to communicate performance metrics project stakeholders to help them make meaningful comparisons across different installations. While M&V plays a critical role in enhancing product performance\, informing design guidance\, and advancing industry standards\, its complexity necessitates a standardized approach. EcoDash incorporates standards set by the Advanced Water Heating Specification and enables users to visualize minute-by-minute operational data\, assess system performance\, and proactively identify when a system may need maintenance or control adjustments. EcoDash’s strategies are designed to accelerate industry advancements from M&V and promote a cohesive approach to measurement and verification. This session will showcase examples of HPWH system improvements that were identified using EcoDash and demonstrate how it is currently being used to assess system performance and test load shifting strategies in central HPWH plants. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails\n\n\nTue\, Jun 24\n\n\n10:30 AM – 12:00 PM PDT\n\n\n\nOnline event\n\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Webinar - How to Go Electric For Renters
DESCRIPTION:How to Go Electric For Renters\nLearn about the energy efficient options available to help renters go electric. \nAs a renter\, it may be hard to fully electrify without your landlord’s help. But you don’t have to own your home to go electric! There are many efficient options available to renters\, and because the equipment tends to be portable\, you can take it with you when you move. \nWe will highlight the options for heating and cooling\, cooking\, yard care\, clean renewable electricity and transportation—solutions that are all available to renters. From room heat pumps to portable induction cooktops\, you can turn your rental into a more comfortable\, efficient home with improved indoor air quality. In addition\, we will discuss what is happening in multifamily building electrification\, the policies which will mandate this in the future and learnings from pilot projects. \nJoin us for a 45-minute webinar in which we’ll delve into electrification for renters: What are the best portable options for efficient space heating and cooling? How much do portable induction cooktops cost\, and how do they perform? What other kitchen solutions are available to avoid using a gas range? What are your options for cleaning up your electric supply? What is the best way to charge your EV as a renter? What are other ways to electrify and save energy? How can you talk to your landlord about electrification? What are the impediments to electrifying rental properties? What has been learned about multifamily electrification through pilot projects? \nThis webinar is part of the Electrify Now “Go Electric!” series developed in partnership with LEARN. Find more Go Electric! webinars with information and tips on other important electrification topics here. \nExplore free courses on energy efficiency and electrification with The LEARN Program.
