Contractor Spotlight: Precision Heating and Cooling

Up to the Challenge

Paul Vynar is willing to take on any challenge, and this spirit helped him grow Precision Heating and Cooling into the thriving business it is today. The HVAC company has two locations – one in Vancouver, Washington, and the other in Portland, Oregon – that serve the metropolitan areas with 27 employees. But when he started the company in 2017, Paul was on his own.

After receiving his Journeyman’s HVAC license, the Connecticut native packed his things into a van and drove cross-country to Oregon. “I’d visited before and thought it would be a beautiful place to live,” Paul explains. “I spent six months working for another business. Then, I decided to chase my dream and open my own company.”

Top-Quality Service

Precision Heating and Cooling specializes in the installation and repair of heating and air conditioning equipment for residential and small commercial customers. Paul and his team approach each situation with honesty, fair pricing and a dedication to customer satisfaction.

“Every customer is different, and we try to provide options and make suggestions tailored to the customer’s needs and budget,” he says. “In order to provide top-quality service, we pull permits, warranty our work, provide a lifetime workmanship guarantee, and offer any available rebates.”

They secure energy conservation rebates through Clark Public Utilities, Cowlitz PUD, Energy Trust of Oregon and Skamania County PUD. To save customers time and effort, the company’s staff ensures equipment qualifies for rebates before purchase, completes submissions, and processes the rebates.

Seizing Opportunities

Paul says he plans to use Comfort Ready Home’s resources to learn about more programs that offer rebates and different incentives. He’s also eager for his crew to take the network’s trainings on duct leakage testing and weatherization measures, as they will help the company’s technicians provide informed recommendations to customers.

“It’s important that my team has proper training, so we provide education when a new in-demand product comes out,” Paul notes. “I’m interested in Comfort Ready Home trainings and every opportunity to provide the best customer service. I’m always up for a challenge and the chance to learn something new. Experience is power: The more you know, the more you’re worth.”
