Day One – March 27, 2023 – 12:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

• Introductions (.25 hours)

• Multifamily WX video (.5 hours)

• DOE and State Multifamily Requirements (1.5 hours)

• Multifamily Housing for Energy Auditors (2 hours)

• Q&A/ Daily course wrap up Day’s total (4.25 instructional/ .5 break=4.75 hours)

Day Two – March 28, 2023 – 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Daily course sign in (.25 hours)

• Tips on Qualifying Multifamily Buildings (.5 hours)

• Engineering, Specifications, RFP, & Managing Subs (1 hour) (boiler plate bid specifications)

• Multifamily Blower Door Testing. (Whole building vs. guarded testing) (.5 hours)

• Air leakage, Air sealing & Insulation Issues (.5 hour)

• Ventilation and IAQ. (Roof top ventilators inspection/ASHRAE 62.2 compliance vs. normal ventilation fans) (1 hour)

• Base Load (.5 hours)

• Domestic Hot Water Systems (add HP DHW) (1 hour)

• Q&A/ Daily course wrap up (5.25 instructional + 1.5 lunch/breaks= 6.75 hours)

Day Three – March 29, 2023 – 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Heating Systems (add HP) (1 hour)

• Hydronic Distribution Systems (1 hour)

• Health & Safety (1 hour)

• Operations & Maintenance (O&M) (.5 hour)

• Introduction to MF QCI Job Task Analysis (JTA) (.5 hours)

• Introduction to the NREL Multifamily SWS’s (.5 hours)

• JTA Duties and Tasks (A)-Reviewing Project Documents (1 hour)

• Q&A/ Daily course wrap up (.25) (5.75 instructional + 1.5 lunch/breaks= 7.25 hours)

Day Four – March 30, 2023 – 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Daily course sign in (.25 hours)

• JTA Duties and Tasks (B)-Developing a Quality Control Plan (1 hour)

• JTA Duties and Tasks (C)- Conducting Pre-Installation Site Visits (1 hour)

• JTA Duties and Tasks (D)-Conducting Site Visits (1.5 hour)

• JTA Duties and Tasks (D)-Conducting Site Visits (continued) (1.5 hour)

• JTA Duties and Tasks (E), Reporting QCI Observations and Findings (1 hour)

• Q&A/ Daily course wrap up (.25 hours) (6.5 instructional + 1.5 lunch/breaks=8 hours)

Day Five – March 31, 2023 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Final written test (50 question/multiple choice) (1.5 hours)
